The Steps to get your account activated

1. Try to log in.



Since the passwords were not transferred, you will instead get a message that your password does not match

2. Click the I forgot my password link. This will take you to a form to fill enter your registered email



3. Fill out the form and the image verification form.

You will be told that you are getting an email.

4. Check your email. Look in your spam folder. That's where mine went.



5. Click the link in the email to reset your password

6. A new password will be generated and sent to you


7. Check your email


8. Login again

9. Change your password to something that you'll remember

Two questions:

Are we going to be able to have avatars again?

And will I be able to have images in my signature? I tried to add my tickers back in my sig but all you see are the links now.

1. Go to your profile settings and click edit Avatar under My Settings. That should let you set an avatar

2. I have set the signature to allow images

It did now. Before it wouldn't let me select an avatar and thanks for allowing images in the signature.

Is there a way to mark all messages read. When I selected all the mesaages to mark them, only the ones on the current page were selected.

On the top menu -> Forum Actions -> Mark Forums as Read

Avatar limits have been adjusted back to the 150x200 size constraints we had.

Yes, Gary and I are still hammering out the issues as they come up. This is a learning curve for us too, as there are a lot more administrative settings in hidden places than there ever was on phpbb.

One question: I was able to log in with my old password when I tried to do the password request thing you said. Should I be concerned about that? Do I need to take any precautions besides changing the password? Is this a bug or an issue with my account's security?

Hmm... That is odd.

Tigers was able to as well. The only reason we said to reset the password was that the importer wasn't supposed to be able to bring them over. I'd say you're fine.

I meant the Personal messages, not the forums. After the migrations, my whole inbox was status "Unread". I needed to go page by page to mark them all as "Read" as the select all messages button didn't select all the messages.

I'm all sorted out, but someone else might have the same issue.

Um... Daveosaurus here. Help needed.

I've used my regular email addresses and only managed to find three clone accounts I haven't used in a long time... But I had been receiving messages at my normal email sent to my Daveosaurus account before now... and most of what I've posted recently seems to have been shifted to Khyri's clone account... Is there any way of unpicking the tangle I seem to have got my accounts into so that Gamma is Gamma, Mouse is Mouse and Dave is Dave?

EDIT: Gamma's posts seem to have been moved to Ben Macpherson's clone account. Mouse seems to be right for the moment... I'll try to retrieve his posts sort of now ish. (And then I'll have to fix all the small text which has suddenly become absolutely huge text).

NEXT EDIT: No can't retrieve the Mouse account at all. I definitely had to start up a new Mouse character account a few months back because I'd never signed up again as Mouse after the last big board change over. The address I used for him is current but the board doesn't recognise it - is this working on an old backup? I remember that I shuffled my characters' email accounts around near the start of last year when I changed internet providers and lost my old main accounts.

Hmm... well Ben Macpherson's account could be edited to be Gamma. And the current Gamma account could be made something else. And Khryi could be edited to be Daveosaurus and the current Daveosaurus account to something else...

And all the past boards were merged so for your accounts it looks like the old accounts took precedence... No idea how they got mismatched though...
