The Firebrand Institute was well known around the world. It took in a young girl off the streets and gave her a name since she didn't have one, Kaira Storm. The young girl had been orphaned and so she was raised by the institute.

The Institute had a strong influence over the goings on in the world. It trained people to go into the world and make a difference. A difference by assassinating those that were doing wrong in the world. Or wrong as far as the Institute was concerned.

So Kaira was trained to be an assassin and she was very good at what she did. So good that she rose among the ranks and became the Administrator's favorite weapon.

But there is some things that don't add up as Kaira discovers when she is sent on a mission to assassinate a woman. A woman that seems very familiar.

Laura Edwards has created a world that pulls you in. The character development is superb. Anyone that wants to have a good read should check out this book. It is well written and well paced and the ending will make you want to read more.

Here's hoping that Laura Edwards continues the story that she has begun here.
