Here's a summary of ideas we have come up with so far.

    Planet name: Arrellill

Basic plot: There are three kingdoms in Arrellill each with different beliefs. There are those who embrace Traditional Magic who use the traditional black magic. While other embrace Religion in the way of summon magics. Finally there is Science who advance their cause with technology. These kingdoms oppose each other very violently in times throughout their word's history.

There is also small neutral group exists also. Although they live in the Magic Kingdom they embrace the ideals of white magic and hate war, willing to help any who need aid. These white mages have become quite rare because of the wars in fact they can only be found in one town. The magic kingdom has embraced black magic over white as time progressed.

(Still need names for the kingdoms)

    Players:

    buymearing: Main villian
    Corey: A black mage's bodyguard
    Honor's Angel: A white mage
    Jacen: Magus-like character
    Jason: A summoner
    Jenny: A black mage
    K Dogg:
    Mattson: Cid
    Mil: The hero

    Key magics: Holy, Meteor

    Kingdom: Holy Principality of Arcesso

Government: Theocratic Council: A group of 12 of the most powerful and wise summoners govern the lands. They believe that they were chosen by the gods to rule. Collectively they are referred to as, appropriately, the Council of Twelve.

People: The people are collectively referred to as Arcessons. The Arcessons, though, are a very divided people within their own kingdom, separated by a very rigid caste system, in which it is impossible (even a crime) to associate with others outside their caste, beyond their assigned associations.

Summoners: These are considered the elite Arcessons. They hold the highest stations and highest respect within Arcesson society. The only things higher than Summoners are the Accersitus (The summoned) and the Gods. Summoners have the ability to call forth the Accersitus to aid in a variety of circumstances, from council to battle. They are also the priests and priestesses of the society.

Diviners: The next step down in the caste system are the diviners. While they are lower than the Summoners, their position is still one of great honor and respect. They are considered heralds for the gods. They are the intellectuals and scholars of the society.

Bourgeoisie: These are the merchants, bankers, and other business-type people. They are responsible for the daily commerce within the kingdom.

Commoner: These are the common, run-of-the-mill, working class people. They tend to be hard-working and poor. They make up the largest percentage of the kingdom.

Servants: While called servants, a servant is little more than a slave. Servants can be found in Summoner, Diviner and some Bourgeoisie homes.

Dalits: Often referred to as "Untouchables" are almost considered as outcasts. They may have once had a caste, and were stripped of that, due to crime, dishonor, or uncurable disease (seen as a curse from the gods). In other cases, they are simply born from other Dalits. They are shunned by the rest of the society, and tend to live as vagrants, scrounging for whatever food or drink they can find. Even a Servant is better off than a Dalit.

Beliefs: The Arcessons are a very religious people that have a number of gods they believe in. In addition, they have a belief in reincarnation, as opposed to that of an afterlife. Their rigid caste system is indicitive of that belief. They are always striving to improve their station in life, so that the next life can raise them higher on the caste ladder, until they achieve the honor of becoming an Accersitus (a summoned being). It is believed that the Accersitus are the immortal souls that have finally found true wisdom, complete knowledge, and live in a true paradise with the gods.

Mythology: Arcesson mythology is deep and detailed, often encompassing the many different religious rituals and rights, as well as telling their own version of the history of Arrellill. How much of the mythology is true is a subject of frequent debate among the other kingdoms, which has caused more than its share of wars through the ages.

The chief deity of Arcesson mythology is Bahamut. He is seen as both a creator of all, and a destroyer of all. Arcessons believe that it was he that created the pantheon and the Accersitus. In turn, the pantheon of dieties created by Bahamut proceeded to create all of Arrellill, while the Accersitus served as the counselors to the emerging people of Arrellill.

The Arcesson mythology tells of three brothers in the distant past, who had a disgreement. One brother decided to follow after forbidden magics, while another brother decided to forsake the gods and pursue science, only the youngest and most devout of the brothers remained faithful to the gods. From the decendants of the three brothers, the three kingdoms were formed.

Summoners and the Accersitus: Summoners and Diviners are the aristocrats of Arcesson society. The Summoners act as priests and priestesses to the people. They begin training at an early age on how to speak to and call upon the Accersitus for aid. Some of the more powerful Summoners can even call upon the gods for help in times of need. It is rumored that an extremely powerful Summoner could even call upon Bahamut himself. Sommoners that call upon the gods are few in number, and none in recent history have ever called upon Bahamut. One of the requirements for being part of the Council of Twelve is the ability to summon the gods.

    Gods (by power):
Bahamut (God of Creation and Destruction)
Leviathan (God of the Seas - Water)
Titan (God of the Earth - Earth)
Ramuh (God of Spring and Storms - Lightning)
Ifrit (God of Summer - Fire)
Odin (God of Autumn and War - Air)
Shiva (Goddess of Winter - Ice)

    Accersitus:
There are too many Accersitus to list. They could be as simple as a smal fairy that can heal, or can be larger and more powerful. Most Accersitus, though, are simple messengers, summoned to give advice or counsel. The more powerful the Summoner, the more powerful Accersitus that can be called upon.
(Note: Other unmentioned summons from other FF games could potentially be considered an Accersitus, keeping in mind that the gods are more powerful.)

    (Pronounced EE-lah-nuh)

    Class: Summoner
    Gender: Female
    Age: 16
    Height: 5'4"

Father: Jiston the Wise, member of the Council of Twelve (55)
    Mother: Ytella the Beautiful (49)
    Brothers Treton (28), Fresil (27), Honus (25), Lente (23), Kiron (21)

Ylana is a Summoner by birth. Her father is Jiston, a powerful Summoner and member of the Council of Twelve. Her mother is Ytella, another powerful Summoner. She is the youngest of six children, and the only girl child. Her five brothers are all adept Summoners that are following closely in their parents' footsteps.

Ylana, though, is a dreamer. Often she is caught daydreaming instead of studying. Her wild imagination and gregarious attitude is often seen as an embarassment to her relatively reserved family. She had always been told she was destined for great things, and should take life a little more seriously. In her mind, her family was serious enough without her help.

Ylana is very kind-hearted and gentle, even to the servants in her home. While the others of her family would order the servants around and otherwise pay them no heed, Ylana would actually speak with them and even go so far as to make friends with them. This would always upset her parents, who would stress the importance of the caste system, and then send the befriended servants away so that Ylana could no longer contact them. Despite that, Ylana would continue to befriend the servants, and any others that she meets, regardless of their caste. The only exception would be the Dalits, which she is afraid of.

As a Summoner, Ylana has been taught, since birth, about the Accersitus and how to speak to and summon them. She proved to be a quick study and learned quickly, despite her frequent daydreaming. Her parents strongly believed that she had the potential to be more powerful than her brothers, if only she applied herself instead of daydreaming and fraternizing with the wrong caste.

Ylana's 16th birthday was a special day for her. It was the day she became a full Summoner. It is the day she became an adult, and gained her first Accersitus companion, a Sylph named Persia. After the ceremony, Ylana made the decision to leave home to explore the lands, instead of remaining and continuing her studies like her brothers. A decision that brought more disappointment to her parents.

    Abilities:
Educated. She can read and write in several different languages, is knowledgeable in Arcesson history and mythology, and can perform basic mathematics.
Acrobatics. She is very limber and quick on her feet.
Hand-Eye Coordination. She has a hightened hand-eye coordination that, combined with her acrobatics, makes her very quick.

    Summons:
Persia the Sylph: Persia is Ylana's first summons and the one considered to be her companion. Persia offers advice as well as minor healing when necessary.

    Equipment of Note:
Crest of House Jiston: This golden crest, worn on a gold necklace, is a symbol of her position within Arcesson society. It is her father's chosen symbol, and signifies that she is a member of his family, with the rights and priviledges associated with it. She can pretty much walk into any shop in Arcesso and get what she needs, without question.

Walking Staff: An ornately carved walking staff that doubles as a weapon. Due to her acrobatics and hand-eye coordination, she is pretty good with handling the staff both offensively and defensively when necessary.

    Eyes:Green
Hair: Long brown. Aerin ties it back into a ponytail
Dress: A long dark pink dress (think Aeris of Final Fantasy 7)

Aerin is the granddaughter of Lady Kira, the leader of the Village of Lyron. This also means she directly related to Lady Aerin the founder of that village and her namesake. A kind but a little naive young woman, she has spent all her life in the safe little village. She has showed since a young age that she has the potential to be a great white mage. Although she does grow bored of Lryon. At times because the village is so small and everyone knows everyone and their business. She knows there is a larger world out there and would love to see it but her grandmother wishes to keep her close.

Aerin's mother, Lydia, died in childbirth and her father was a soldier from the Science Kingdom. He did not actually know of his daughter and Aerin does not even know his name. His affair with Lydia was frowned upon by Lady Kira. For Lydia was her only child and she did not turst the soldier Eventually she banned him from the village. After Lydia died, Kira raised Aerin. She is very protective of her only grandchild. Her protectiveness is almost smothering to Aerin though who wants to explore the world. She also at times thinks about her father she does not know. Her grandmother will not speak of him and has forbidden any others to do the same.

    Abilities:

    Cure: Heals an injured person
    Esuna: Cures an ailment

    Weapon:

None currently. Although some white mages are trained in archery for hunting purposes, Aerin is still learning that skill.

Here's my idea for the white mages:

Town: Village of Lyron, located near the Mountains of Zion in the Kingdom of Guldaran

History: White mages were once as common as black mages until the wars broke out between the kingdoms. While black mages and their bodyguards traveled the land to develop their powers, the white mages remain close to the towns. Their powers developed from aiding others and listening to nature. They especially love the mountains, where healing herbs grow. Then the wars came. Black mages and bodyguards moved to the center, they were the defense of Guldaran and at times also the ones to first start battles. The white mages gave support as they could, helping the sick, healing those close to death. But eventually it seemed war and suffering would never end and the white mages grew tired of it all. Too much blood, too much war. Their leader, Lady Aerin, decided it would best for her fellow white mages to find a more peaceful place to live. The mountains she decided, because it was already a place all white mages felt at peace with the world. Many black mages and bodyguards thought they were weak any way, few white mages knew any spells other than defensive ones and they were weak fighters. Although they still felt it was a betrayal the white mages were natives of Guldaran and yet they wanted to turn away from war all together. The Wise King Sven even thought so once too, until Lady Aerin saved him from death at the hands of his enemies. As he laid weak in bed and she stayed healing him, she made him understand that the white mages only wanted peace and although they loved their home it was too much for them to see it constantly destroyed. She also promised they would still aid the black mages and bodyguards when needed with their powers. Maybe it was her healing touch, maybe it was her beauty, or her words themselves but King Sven gave his blessing for the white mages to exile themselves from the rest of Guldaran. He promised them the Mountians of Zion as a safe place to live. And so Lady Aerin took the white mages with her to the mountains there they have since lived peacefully with nature and netural in the wars. They will assist any who seek their aid and only wish to be left alone.

Current ruler: An old wise woman named Lady Kira, she is a direct descandant of Lady Aerin. She is beloved by her people and her words treated much like gospel. The villagers call her "Grandmother" out of respect.

Over time because of their own exile, the white mages' numbers have lowered. Their village is very small and people are related to almost everyone by marriage or blood. Although few directly came from the bloodline of Lady Aerin, who is veiwed as the greatest of all white mages. She and Lady Kira are the only two white mages who are known in recent history to have mastered the greatest white magic spell called Holy.

Outsiders are treated with caution but are still aided in their times of need. Some are welcomed into the village though if they wish to stay and marry white mages.

Everyone has some good ideas so far. Here's some ideas for the magic kingdom:

The ruling party of the kingdom is a King and Queen. There are govenors who oversee the daily operations of the various cities in the land. Black mages start with knowing low level spells of fire, ice, water, and thunder. They travel their kingdom to advance their powers and learn more powerful spells past the elements. Black mages are weak fighters, their strenght is in their magic which drains them from use. They are protected by bodyguards who are assigned to them. These bodyguards are very strong physical fighters but use little magic.

Children show at an early age if they are either black mages or bodyguards. It decided on their 13th birthday which class they belong to and on that birthday they are assigned their partner who is of the opposite gender. This is done so they learn to respect and honor the other gender, a foundation of marriage. Also the pairings become close friends. More times than not the black mages and bodyguards marry each other when they matured to adulthood. There is no guarntee though that a bodyguard is male or a black mage is female (although it is more common). For example the King is actually the black mage and the Queen is his bodyguard.

Black mages must travel their kingdom to develop their skills and learn more powers. The boyguards are assigned to protect them because of both creatures who exist and enemies of the wars. The bodyguards as they protect their black mages become even stronger physical fighters. Because Black Mages and Bodyguards become very strong, these classes have been embraced and supported over time while the white mages have fell to the side. Many feel that healing magic served little purpose in the needs of offense magics and physical strength to protect the kingdom.

While all Black Mages develop the element powers to full potential, a chosen few learn the greatest black magic of all, Meteor. Their King, a hero of one of the wars, was the last known Black Mage to master that spell.

Two major classes of fighters: Black Mages and Bodyguards (I'm thinking they are like Knights/General fighter class)

Rulers: King Aht (Black Mage) and Queen Cecila (Bodyguard)

Possible name for the kingdom: Guldaran

Ivan is from the Town of Terab and has not seen much of the Kingdom of Guldaran or any part of world either. He is an only child and his father is actually the govenor for this area of Guldaran and he rarely sees him. He lives with his mother and grandparents in the town. Although his father is a fairly powerful Black Mage, Ivan never showed that power. Instead he is a Bodyguard like his mother, who is a seasoned warrior for Guldaran.

When he reached the age of 13, it was decided he would become a Bodyguard because of his quick reflexes and strength. He was assigned to protect the Black Mage Rayleen. Whom he has nicknamed "Ray". To be honest he was pleased who he was assigned to because even as little kids he had a crush on her. Often coming to her house to play. Because of the Black Mage/Bodyguard duties, their relationship has grown to the point where they are considered to be dating and Ivan does feel he can tell Ray anything although her attitude does get to him. He feels she is spoiled but is partly responsible for it too. Since he does about anything she wants and would do anything for her. He even be willing to die to protect her.

Ivan doesn't trust the new technology being introduced having grown up hearing stories of the wars of Arrellill but since Ray loves it, he goes along with her. Even promising her that he would someday take her to see Solenda after she has mastered her powers. Although he does admit the city sounds pretty cool.

    Abilities:

Ivan does not use magic but is a strong fighter with quick reflexes and powerful attacks.

    Weapon:

He carries a sword that was given to him from his mother.

    Here's my character's bio:

    Rayleen

    Class: Black Mage
Hometown: Town of Terab in the Kingdom of Guldaran
    Gender: Female
    Age: 18
    Height: 5'5
Eyes: Normally light blue. As Rayleen uses an elemental power though they change color to reflect that power. Red for fire. White for Ice. Dark blue for Water. Yellow for Thunder.
    Hair: Shoulder lenght reddish blonde

Rayleen has spent most of her life in the Town of Terab. It's a medium size town on the border of Guldaran and the Opera Tec Empire. Her father is one of the chief trainers of Bodyguards in the town. Her mother is a Black Mage. She has two older brothers who are both Bodyguards. Iason who is 30 and one of the guards to the royal palace of King Aht and Queen Cecila. Her other brother, Kaleb is 25 and remains in the Terab. She is not that close to her brothers because of the large age gap between them and her. She was a "surprise" to her parents who thought they were done having children when her mother found out she was pregnant. Although a surprise, she is loved by her family. She does wish she had a closer bond with her brothers and Iason has promised one day to introduce her to the King and Queen.

Rayleen showed at an early age her potentials as a Black Mage, so there was no question which class she would belong to when she reached 13. She is very close to Ivan, her Bodyguard. She and Ivan formed a deep friendship when they were younger and in the last five years it has grown to the point where they would be considered boyfriend and girlfriend. Although there are times she drives him nuts with her attitude. Rayleen is good natured but also likes to have her way and is very vocal with things she does not agree with.

Rayleen wishes to master all the black magic spells known, even that of Meteor. Although elders have warned it is a hard spell to master. She admires King Aht and wishes to become a great Black Mage like him.

Recently some technology is trying to be introduced into Terab much to the dismay of the elder members of the town. Rayleen is among the youth who is embracing the technology though. Thinking it is neat and something far more interesting then what she has seen growing up. She would love for her and Ivan to see the grand city of Solenda someday.

    Abilities:

Fire: Causes small Fire elemental damage to one/multiple enemies
Ice: Causes small Ice elemental damage to one/multiple enemies
Water: Causes small Water elemental damage to one/multiple enemies
Thunder: Causes small Thunder elemental damage to one/multiple enemies

    Weapon:

Rayleen does carry a whip but since she has Ivan to protect her, she only usesit if Ivan needs help and she is too weak to cast a spell.

Her spell casting is strong but it also drains her over time if she does not rest. Something she has to be reminded to do at times.

those who work for House Mystemy are give temporary passes by who ever brings them in.(i.e. is a House Mystemy member who brought you is had a primary element of Fire you had a Fire element on your right shoulder,Temporary passes aren't gender specific and always on the right shoulder, they disappear after the person has served there purpose of die.similar to the ones in Mortal Kombat2)
