    Alecta and V

Once Alecta showed up at the hatch, V just nodded to her. He didn't ask any questions. Donned in her armor, and armed to the teeth, Alecta nodded back. In Silence they left the ship, heading outside to look for cover to use in order to hold off the enemy forces.

V began tossing out grenades, setting them to proximity detonation. Alecta, who had found some excellent cover, laid out her weapons and ammo nearby. She would try and hold the position. She could kneel on one knee behind two large chunks of debris that formed with a slight V-shape between them. It didn't reach the ground, and gave her a spot to rest her rifle's barrel while she fired. Her wounds would appreciate the help with even that relief from the recoil.

"Hey V, don't worry, we'll be fine. I'll protect you," she called out to him once he settled down in his own, slightly less comfortable position. Though he was an android and wouldn't really be bothered by it. Alecta did grin at V's sarcastic reply though. She turned her attention to the large entrance way to the chamber. She was as ready as she would ever be she supposed.

Iraja had a night a little more alcohol than he should have, and passed out in his bed happy to have to be at work the next day

With an incredibly loud and rude alarm beeping in his hear, the hung over Iraja, grumbled sitting up, he didn't bother turn the light on with his power. Instead he shambled in the darkness, knowing the light would hurt his eyes. He got outside and growled at all the signs, the sun, and anything else that was bright or loud. He made it to his work with a bright face for his day mucking about in the sewers

    Alecta and V

The enemy troops didn't make the wait incredibly long. Soon enough ten droids came charging through the entrance, guns blazing. The downed ship behind them became peppered with scorch marks. Alecta and V held their fire though. The Cavalier Eternal's point defense turrets came online and returned a fusillade of fire that dropped six of the ten that came in.

After that Alecta and V popped up and dropped three more with well placed shots. The last droid made a hasty retreat back through the entrance. The rest of the droids would already have received uploads from the droids that had gone in. The retreat was more because one of them wouldn't do much more than turn into an equivalent amount of scrap.

It grew quiet once more while they waited for the AI's next move.

It was easy to see why they needed a person to go down and remove the muck manually. He had to get dressed in a full protective suit, which was good because he couldn't even imagine how in the world all the waste got here. Most waste was recycled and used as energy, but the pipes leading to the plant seem to have been blocked and the source was so thick that he had no idea what was even causing this, if it wasn't fixed soon they would most likely begin to have power outages and back up into the streets. Iraja could see small robots doing their best to unclog whatever was going on down here, but their little lasers were just not enough.

He brought out his own gun, given to him by his boss along with this clunky suit. The gun shot out globs of green goop. The green gopp was actually millions of nanobots designed to dissolve and organic waste and steralize it into a clean water. After finishing it's job it would return to the gun for anothe fire. Iraja shrugged, the hestation overwith he began to get to work, firing the first green glob, which the organic matter dissolve quickly, and before he knew it there was a whole in the filled with water, and the green nanobots whent back into the gun like filling a squirt gun with water.

    Alecta and V

The first sign of the AI's return was a large number of incendiaries, pyrotechnics, and smoke grenades. The came in a barrage, most of them having been sent in from launchers. Suddenly the chamber became filled the explosions, smoke and pyrotechnics. The pyrotechnics messed with V's infrared vision gear and night vision gear.

Alecta hunkered down, coughing. The smoke was filling her lungs, making it hard for her to breath. Burning metal flakes from the pyrotechnics were scorching through her skin where she was uncovered.

V wasn't quite as impaired, he just had a hard time seeing. However his hearing was able to direct him in the general direction of the AI forces. V began hurling some handheld plasmatic explosive towards the entrance. His robotic strength managed to get a few of them through the opening.

After the brief explosion from V's hurled devices, the AI forces made a charge. Alecta was barely able to focus from all the pain and smoke. V stood up and began firing, trying to track the direction of the incoming fire. He managed to take down a dozen AI's this way. Alecta managed to pop off a few shots, only hitting three of their attackers.

Suddenly warning klaxons in V's HUD began sounding off. It took him less than a hundredth of a second to realize one of his harm had been shot off. He wailed a a shriek in his robot-speak to Alecta. Alecta heard it and saw red, and it wasn't from the pyrotechnics. "V, get back inside! Lock up the ship. That's an order," she told him.

V protested with a higher pitched than normal shout. However he was moving back up into the ship. Alecta vaulted over the rock she was hiding behind. She emptied her assault rifle in seconds. She drew her handguns and darted forward, firing as she went. She was still only human, and the AI were able to track her. The opened up, hitting her multiple times. Alecta's fighting spirit kept her moving even as one of her lungs was punctured. Another las-round went through her thigh, causing her to stumble. She landed hard, struggling to breathe as blood began filling her punctured lung. Shots came from behind her. V stood in the doorway. He was making some noise, and if it were possible, she would have sworn he was crying. It gave her time to stand up.

After her visit with the ship's computer, she had brought something along with her, as a last resort. It seemed like she'd better use it now or she wouldn't have the strength to do it. She reached around behind her and jerked a large cylinder in front of her. She flipped the top off and held down a button until the lights turned on. She ran through the fire and dove into the press of AI as a bolt found her heart. As her finger came off the button an enormous explosion erupted from the device, rocking the entire cavern. V got thrown back down the corridor and landed hard. He tried to move, but his power cells had been damaged. Inside he wept as his body went into power-save mode.

    Iraja

Iraja did this for a few hours before he he finally began to breakthrough what seemed to be a landslide, underground. It was taking a long time, and the work was disgusting. Suddenly though, the rocks began to fall again trapping him in the underground sewers. In the darkness, he flipped on his light, but it was too late, he was disoriented and surrounded by unfamiliar rocks

After five hours of being trapped he had made little progress and everywhere he digged seemed to be nothing like the sewer system. Suddenly, however, Iraja found an opening, and in the opening was a dusty, powerful looking ship. It hadn't been touched for years - what was it doing here? Iraja went the ship, knocking on it, looking for the entrance, doing anything he could in an attempt to get in, he found and began trying to access the entrance panel.

    The Cavalier Eternal

When the ship had lost power and shut off to save what it had. This had reset the entrance code. However opening the entrance panel's slide had triggered the ship's power system to begin coming back online. After a few minutes the access panel lit up and slid open. The ship's systems were still gradually powering back up.

Iraja would see a hallway stretch down in front of him, as well as running to the left or right once through the airlock. Down the corridor straight ahead of him he could see what appeared to be a vaguely human looking form laying propped up against one wall.

    Hello?
He called out to the humanoid figure. Iraja timidly walked forward into the ship, moving toward the figure. He glanced down the left and right down the branching hallways, but his focus stayed on the figure, inching closer, what was a ship, covered in dust doing down in the sewers. Or at least, right off the sewers in some ancient forgotten cave. In face, now that Iraja thought about it, where int he world was he?

    Ship's Computer and V

The ship's computer had awakened instantly the second the door opened. Before even the AI was fully awake power began flooding through the ship. The emergency lights flickered on, casting a soft golden light through the corridors.

Not even a second later the AI was online and functioning. A second later it understood the situation. An intruder had entered the ship. It located V, lying on the deck of the ship were the explosion so long ago had cast him. He had shut down after that, conserving his power source. The computer's signal reactivated him. With a spasm, V rose from the deck.

V went to reach for the sidearm still holstered at his side, only to find that one of his arms had been completely blown off. He reached across with his one remaining arm to get that hand blaster out. He pointed it at the figure of the human. He held fire though, waiting for some direction from the ship's computer.

While this was going on the ship's computer checked the date, and if a computer could feel shock, this one would have. Several hundred years had passed. It took almost two seconds for the computer to overcome this jump in time and decide on the best course of action. It swiftly sent V instructions to hold fire. This intruder may be their only chance.

"Human. Identify," the ship's computer commanded through the speakers located near the human. Meanwhile V stood motionless as stone with the blaster raised.

Iraja, uh... computer. Hi. He froze in spot and dropped his gun, not wanting to appear threatening, not that his gun was threatening to anything but dirt or mud. He gave an akward wave toward the figure, and followed with a goofy smile. If he was going to be shot, might as well die with a smile.
