    Name: Xiomara Cuicatl
    Age: 21
    Gender: Female

    Nationality: Indigenous Pervuvian
    Occupation: Expedition Guide
Background before RP: Xiomara was raised by her grandmother in their small, close-knit village after her father died and her mother left for the city, never to return or contact her daughter again. Between the teachings of her grandmother and formal education at a nearby Catholic mission school, Xiomara became knowledgeable about the world but never developed a desire to leave her home long-term. Since the age of sixteen, she has supported herself and her grandmother by guiding expeditions of (mostly American or European) adventure-seekers through the jungle or along the rivers of the rainforest. The Paititi expedition will take her further than she has been before, but personal curiosity and the financial compensation she will receive made it worth her while.

  8. #8
    Name: Paula Ribeiro Hernández
    Age: 27 years old
    Gender: Female
    Emanuela de Paula.jpg
    Nationality: Brazilian
    Occupation: Translator
    Background before RP:

Paula was born to a couple made out of a Bolivian father and a Brazilian mother. Her family had a good social standing, and enough money to provide their only child with a good life. From an early age, Paula was taught both Portuguese and Spanish, while also learning English from a tutor, and encouraged to study and become whatever she wanted in life, which was a pretty progressive view for the place she was raised in, a farm in the Brazilian part of the Amazon.

Despite coming from a wealthy family, Paula was never stuck-up. Encouraged by her parents, she did her best to get to know the people around her and learn to navigate both sides of society, as poverty was something she could practically see from her bedroom window.

As she grew older, Paula has made friends both with the rich kids and with poorer children, and kept those friends for life, even though she got to study and become a translator, knowing Portuguese, Spanish and some indigenous languages, and, after finishing her studies, she started learning how to navigate the areas around her mother's farm and talking to people about their lives, taking notes that resulted in a book narrating her experiences.

It was probably her book that landed her the opportunity for the expedition funded by a wealthy man, something she is cautiously excited about - and hopes will be a good topic for a second book.

  9. #9
    Name: James "Jim" Harrison
    Age: 32 years old
    Gender: Male
    Franggy Yanez.jpg
    Nationality: American
    Occupation: Pilot, formerly a soldier
    Background before RP:

James Harrison has come from a military family. His father was a soldier. So was his grandfather. And his great grandfather. And so on, all the way back to the first generations that could be traced. Most of the men in the family had served in the Army, but some had chosen the Navy, and others, like James himself, had chosen the Air Force.

James had been a battle pilot since he had completed his training, and the man was sure he had found his calling in life. Flying made him happy and relaxed, and he could keep a level head even in a difficult situation. At least that was the case until the time his plane was shot down, resulting in serious injury for him and killing his co-pilot.

During his recovery, James asked to be discharged, as he could no longer think about setting foot on a combat plane. He still had a passion for flying, but decided to do it alone. If he died, after all, he would die alone this time.

Due to the physical pain from the accident and the guilt from his co-pilot's death, James developed a drinking problem, and the attitude that he had nothing more to lose in life, leading him to take flights no other pilot would, using his own private plane, which led him to be invited to talk about some sort of expedition.
