    The Questers: OOC Thread.

    The Questers: OOC Thread.

Sil and I have started up an RP on Marvel RP forum and everyone is welcome to join.

The story so far is is that Stane Industries has hired my and Sil's characters (Vector and Nightstalker, two superbeings for hire and former X-men) to recover the black box of one of their automated spy planes that crash landed on Monster Island during a test flight.

For those of you that don't know it, Monster island is a wonderful little location in the Marvel universe where the various giant monster's from 1950's Marvel comics live and feed on anyone crazy enough to visit the island. Plus I think the Mole-Man and his subterrainian critters hang out there too.

Also rival corperations have sent their own agents to the island to recover the black box, so they can learn all they can about the spy plane's experimental technology. These rival agents can be other super beings for hire, some powered or technological creations of the corperations themselves or even just superheroes that have been tricked into thinking that they're helping the other corperations find their own plane's black box. These rival agents are also where any new characters can enter the SL. They may start out as rivals, but pretty much anything could happen through the course of the SL to make the various characters become allies.

Or you can pick to RP one of the islands monsters, or some other inhabitant (like a supervillain or something).

Or if you can think of anyother kind of character and a way to bring them into the SL you're more than welcome to do so.

This is open to anyone and virtually any type of character.

    Any questions? Ideas? Suggestions?

Oooo - I love the intos you two gave your characters! It's soooo tempting to jump in...and I may if I have a sudden fit of weakness. I'll have to see how my time is going. *plots*

The basic idea I have is to use an old Iron Man foe's gear with a new operative inside. Just want to do a research to refresh myself on it.

Quaxo, want to be my partner in mercing here?

Does this mean I get a big gun? Or two, even?

If so, we may be talkin'...

Sure. I'm thinking of ressurecting the Force armor. It had sheilds, force blasts, and slight energy control. Probably dump the later bit. And definately change the colors from the green and yellow it was. And sadly, I haven't found an image yet. It took me 5 sites to even find an entry.

    Ooh, interested parties.

I would be happy to have any and all of you join this lil' ol' SL. Time permitting and at your convenience, of course.

LM, will this picture that I found on Bob Layton's website work for you? It's different than the original armor, but that might fit with your character being the new Force, and could have a modified armor.
I can color the picture in. All you'd have to do is pick colors that would work for you.

Will this new Force have ties to Justine Hammer (a billionaire, industrialist that secretly provided technological aid to tech powered super villains, for those of you that don't know)? This could mean the new Force's partner could be a new version of one of Hammer's regular lot of bad guys (Blizzard, Blacklash, Beetle, Melter, Spymaster, Constrictor, and heck even Leap-Frog (a guy in a frog costume that lets him leap really high)).
Sorry, my older brother is a huge 1980's era Iron-Man fan, so I grew up on this stuff (hence my usage of Stane Industries in the SL's set up).

And thank you for your compliments on the character introductions, Quaxo. These are actually old characters from an X-men RP that a bunch of us started on the Broken Frontier MB a couple years back. The RP died, but I enjoyed Sil's Beloved character so much that I recently suggested revisting our characters from the RP. And so here we are.

Well, if you mean the Crimson Cowl, Q, then I'm in debates. Old man Hammer passed on and his daughter took over things before being busted after trying to take out the T-Bolts. I'm thinking more of keeping the ties to one of Hammer's companies but have someone new in charge. And since I'm making this up on the spot, I'll just throw this out and see how it sounds. Suspecting that with all the legal troubles that could hit, all of Hammers hired costumed mercs were placed in a company in Africa with no extridition laws etc. and named an official security consulting business (read merc for hire). This way new operatives can be in the suits as needed, new tech based operatives can be hired, and SHEILD can't seize the place as easily.

As for colors, I'm thinking a blue black pattern. And you rock for finding that Q. While I've gotten Iron Man over the years and started at the Armor Wars, I always liked the look of the Force armor. Mostly the helmets design. It just struck me as sleek and a bit unnerving. Just the lack of a visible face makes it seem like there might anyone or thing inside.

I see. I haven't been keeping up with the new stuff, I meant Old man Hammer.
Most of what I know about Justin Hammer is from his first appearance, in the 80's, around the time of the "Demon in a Bottle" story arch. Hammer found a way to control Iron-Man's armor remotely and used this control to frame ol' shell head for murder, by setting off his repulsor rays while he had his hand on a guy's back.

That sounds like a cool idea. It has lots of potential for future stories.

I figured if anyone would have a decent Force picture it would be on Bob Layton's site. Plus I'm not sure if I have Force's appearances in my comic collection, and my collection is so disorganized that a search would take a while, and I doubt I have those issues anyway.

Yeah, Force had a cool look. I always liked his armor and his powers.
