Re: The Golden City
Imiel Imiel grinned when Rhiannon said they wanted to stay. Norway was suddenly looking a whole lot less appealing... The human expression that they 'see' each other threw him off for a second - couldn't they already see each other? - but then she clarified that she was asking him out, and that he ...

Orla Knox "Oh! Yes! Wonderful! Great!" Orla was practically vibrating with excitement. It was happening! It was finally happening! "Just give me a moment to collect my things." She traveled light, as a rule, so it was just a matter of tucking her crystal ball in safely in a bag ...

Re: Refurbishment (A Backstory Thread)
The Construct The diplomat’s habits were different from those of anyone else the construct had ever guarded. (And not just because the value on the credit chip was increasing daily without further comment at the standard bodyguard rate, plus a little extra. The extra was the thing she had called &q...

Lars Valli Looking at the constructs, Lokin would see that they were similar, but not identical. All had the same height and build down to the centimeter, but they had randomized human faces - all rather generic looking and androgynous, but recognizably distinct. Their skin was pale, without pigmen...

Isaac Fishblatt "That's a good idea," Isaac replied when Riff brought up the idea of the science fair. There were certainly others locally who were science-minded, including within their own Pack. As well as their own doctor, Shazia was studying medicine - and apparently the new young man...

Re: Refurbishment (A Backstory Thread)
The Construct It was one of the easiest jobs RIII5 had ever had. (Until it wasn't - but that came later.) The diplomat had essentially no demands, and there was no fighting. (Not yet, anyway - again, that happened after.) All that was really required was standing behind her chair looking sufficient...

Anakita Snakecharm "Hm. Well. Maybe..." Anakita said very unconvincingly. "But the thing is... there are some people whose brains just work differently. It isn't a hex, or a curse. It's just that people are born different ways. Some people have trouble reading because the words wiggl...

The Diplomat "This is your room, Rills." Anke had booked a suite with two identical adjoining bed chambers, and she gestured to offer one to the construct. The construct looked slightly discomfited. "Your contract does not stipulate that you are required to provide a room for me. I d...

Eve Travers and Cambria Morehouse Eve noticed the change in the color of the flora, but she didn't know what to make of it. Intent as she was on looking for the forest's reigning acromantula, she also didn't notice the bundle of twigs until it was grasping at her. It knocked her off balance, and sh...

Re: Refurbishment (A Backstory Thread)
The Construct The construct didn’t know anything about the diplomat, either. It didn’t really matter, though. There was only one job, and it was always the same. Keep her alive and return her in one piece with zero to minimal emotional damage. Who she was outside of that assignment made no real dif...
