Pyrran Onyk Mahr
They had just finished their training for the day when Pyrran sensed an odd energy. At first he thought little of it - it was Jedi energy, but that could be Teizi, or her padawan, or Visper, or even Siralai depending on the moment. It wasn't until the distance closed between them that he realized something was seriously amiss.
"Arksynn, behind that tree! Quickly!" Pyrran ordered. His heart was beating fast. Surely they had sensed him and Arksynn, as he had sensed them. These were not their friends. These Jedi were on a mission to destroy Sith. "There are too many of them for us to fight. We need to try to observe them and report back before they can get ahold of us. You are up to this, are you not?"
There was safely in numbers. Odd that he was even considering going to other Jedi for help with a Jedi threat, but in the short time they had been with this group, it had somehow become a natural thing to do.

Arksynn
Pyrran's instruction made him feel like he had a chance. If the man had simply praised him, he would have been suspicious and more than a little concerned about his future tutelage. He knew his training was lacking. All he had to do was look around at other Sith to know that he hadn't advanced much since Korriban. The fact that Pyrran didn't laugh at his current level of skill was a balm to the self-inflicted wounds on his heart.
It was hard work. The meditations more so than the saber forms. His mind constantly wandered away. Emotions rose and fell away - each equally unbidden - it was embarrassing. He really should tell Pyrran why he was like this. He should have told him before the Sith agreed to be his Master...but he'd been afraid. But now, now he felt the worry creep in that the man would find out that Arksynn was damaged goods and not worth his time. If only he could impress him early on, then he might have a chance...
He was almost relieved by the interruption, despite the fact it was a something unpleasant. When Pyrran said 'too many of them', he remembered that he should be reaching out with the Force - should have been, considering they were meditating. An early failure. Hopefully not his last chance. He did as instructed and could sense the Jedi gathering around them. Nodding, he lowered himself into the foliage, managing to somehow blend in with his surroundings despite his bright red skin.
Observation sounded fine, but then it hit him. They were here for Reyth. Just like the man on the holo had told that Jedi - he'd come for her. His hearts doubled their rate and he tensed, barely holding himself back from leaping into the clearing and racing toward Visper's ship.

Teizi Lin
There was comfort in the familiar. The way the brush fit in her hand. The sound of the comb moving through hair. The touch of the Light side of the Force.
Teizi paused mid-stroke. 'Familiar' didn't only resonate with positive things. There could only be one reason why there would be a sudden influx of Jedi in this precise region of Rishi. Jesk must have grown tired of waiting for her report. Her hand dropped the brush even as it sought reassurance from her lightsabers...oh no. In her haste to care for the tauntaun, she'd entirely forgotten that she'd traded a lightsaber with Pyrran. His sisters...
"Dallyn. I need you to go to the house and stand guard over Pyrran's sisters. If he is there, give him this." She passed the boy the Sith's lightsaber though he looked at it like it was going to bite him. "Dallyn." His attention and his calm returned, "No matter who might order you aside, a Jedi always defends the needy. Those girls are victims of a terrible crime. Remember that. Now go."
Mercifully, he did, leaving her alone with her thoughts - and a single lightsaber.

Pyrran Onyk Mahr
Pyrran was a step behind Arksynn. He pressed his own back against a tree, heart pounding, straining to reach out with the Force, then as they got closer, to see without being seen and to hear their conversation.
"...sticking to the plan. We'll take the three younger ones - assuming they don't put up a fight. I'm not throwing away Republic lives over a couple of Sith. If they resist at all, you have permission to use lethal force. The other two are to be terminated."
"Shouldn't we try to turn the Sith lord?"
"Too dangerous. Not worth the risk. We're just going to end this one quickly."
Pyrran's heart was pounding. It wasn't so much that they were discussing his own death so casually - he was used to Jedi holding his life cheaply. No, it was their plan to kidnap his sisters and his apprentice. It was what they clearly intended to do to Reyth. She hadn't been mentioned, but her intended fate was clear.
For just a moment, Pyrran felt the habitual panic of one forced to deal with every situation alone. But no, he reminded himself. He wasn't alone. Not anymore. He had people he could trust.
"Arksynn, go warn the others. I'm going to slow them down." Anticipating the objection that was sure to follow, Pyrran added, "I'm not going to fight them - just create a diversion. It'll give you time to get back. Hurry! For Reyth's sake, if nothing else."
The Jedi had so far failed to notice the two Sith. They were intent on tracking their target... until a few minutes later, their progress was suddenly interrupted by a startled flock of birds flying straight toward them, forcing the knights and their leader to duck and flail as wings beat and shed feathers filled the air.

Neva Xolte
After their arrival on Rishi, Neva had made a straight line for her ship. Not that she thought that Dallyn hadn't done a good job piloting her, it was more that a captain simply had to look after her own ship. And she couldn't be certain nothing horrible had happened to it while it wasn't in her care. She checked all the interior systems first, out of habit. Her inspection progressed toward the outside of the craft from there and she spent some time polishing plates that had acquired some asteroid scum.
That was how she'd seen the Jedi.
It was something in how they walked - or maybe it was the sheer number of them - that caused Neva to give them a head start before following them. She reasoned it could be Jedi business with one of the few Jedi around, but they seemed...keyed up. For Jedi. The reason for their being on Rishi was shocking to her. She had never thought of the Jedi as being the 'storm the base' types, yet here they were, talking about stealing children and killing Sith just because.
Melting backwards into the woods, she turned and ran to where she thought would be a safe distance to send a comm to Siralai. When the holo came up, Neva was crouched and clearly peering around some unseen obstacle.
"Hey, five Jedi just showed up and sounds like they're planning a kidnapping with murder for dinner. I'm behind them right now - could probably take one or two by surprise - they don't sound like they are up for negotiations."
